The Commander of TNI, Admiral H. Yudo Margono, S.E., M.M., C.S.F.A., read a written mandate read by Kapoksahli Pangdam IX/Udayana Briggen TNI Farouk Pakar, M.Han, during the 17th Flag Ceremony on Tuesday (17/10/2023) at the I Gusti Ngurah Rai Field Kepaon, South Denpasar District.
The commander of TNI also expressed his highest gratitude and appreciation to all the units and institutions involved in the Asean Solidarity Exercise (ASEX-01N), the security of the ASEAN Summit in Labuan Bajo and Jakarta, as well as the safety of the Summit of the Island and Island States, or the AIS Forum Summit 2023, held yesterday in Bali. We have been able to provide a sense of security and comfort to all the guests from the participating countries. It is not without hard work and good synergy with the agencies involved. Once again, we have been able to respond to people’s trust.
TNI Commander further informed that RI President Mr. Joko Wododo gives appreciation for dedication, courage, professionalism, and dedication to all members of TNI who have fulfilled their roles as the leading fortress of national defense, people’s protective force, NKRI guard shield, Pancasila guard shield, and Leg Leg Basar guard shield in 1945.
In the near future, our nation will hold a general election in 2024. This election is an important moment in our country’s democratic process; therefore, order, smoothness, and success in holding the democratic party’s agenda are vital. “TNI soldiers must be sensitive and anticipative to the dynamics and developments of the situation, and TNI neutrality is a clear and non-negotiable commitment. TNI must be neutral because TNI plays an important role in political stability and national security”, the TNI Commander stated in his mandate.
The commander hoped that, as one of the main pillars in the defense of the country, TNI has a great responsibility in ensuring that the election phase of 2024 can run peacefully and coolly.
At the end of his mandate, the Commander of TNI gave some important things as guidelines to all soldiers and the PNS among them: first, to continue to increase faith and fear of the Lord YME and to hold firm Sapta Marga, the soldier’s oath, and the eight mandatory TNI; second, to implement the commitment of neutrality. Third, to maintain solidity and compactness in the face of various challenges of duty, Fourth, to continuously enhance professionalism and to maintain synergy with POLRI, the ministry or agency, and other components of the nation. Fifth, to keep the good name of the TNI wherever they are and serve.
The ceremony was attended by Pamen Ahli Pangdam IX/Udayana, Lo TNI AL, LO TNI AU, Irutum Itdam IX/Udy, and Irutben Itdam IX/Udayana; Deputy Assistant of Kasdam IX; Para Kabalak Kodam IX/Udayana; Soldiers; and PNS Kodam IX/Udayana.
