Denpasar – As the VVIP Regional Security Task Command (Kogaspamwil), Kodam IX/Udayana held an initial Coordination Meeting for VVIP Security at the 42nd Asean Summit (KTT) 2023 which will be held in Labuan Bajo, West Manggarai Regency, NTT Province.
The coordination meeting which was held at Airlangga Room Makodam IX/Udayana on Friday (31/3/2023), directly led by Assistant Operations Kasdam IX/Udayana Colonel Inf Septa Viandi Dwi, and attended by Assistants Kasdam IX/Udayana, Dansat/Kabalakdam IX/Udayana and online also attended by Korem 161/WS.
During this activity, Pangdam IX/Udayana Major General TNI Sonny Aprianto, S.E., M.M., as Pangkogaspamwil VVIP, in his office virtually received an explanation from Asops Kasdam IX/Udayana regarding the Activity and Security mechanisms for the 42nd Asean Summit 2023 in Labuan Bajo.
When emphasizing, the Pangdam invited all personnel who are members of the Security Task Force (Pam) to maximize regional security provided to VVIP officials and all delegates attending the 42nd Asean Summit 2023 in Labuan Bajo.
“It is hoped that all officials who have been appointed and are involved in securing the activities of the 42nd Asean Summit, will immediately carry out preparations and checks on equipment and personnel, as well as the place of activity, so that later there will not be even the slightest mistake,” hoped the Pangdam.
The Pangdam further said that Kodam IX/Udayana had experience in securing the G20 which was successfully held in Bali Province in November 2022. So, his party hopes that at the 42nd ASEAN Summit event everything will go well.
“Security and evacuation that we will carry out later must be the best and in accordance with the applicable Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), because the success of securing the 42nd Asean Summit is an obligation of a regional task force, as well as a mirror of the Indonesian nation in the eyes of the world,” said the Pangdam.
