In general, people who mostly work as farmers complain about road access to their agricultural land, both for supplying seeds, fertilizer and mobilizing agricultural machinery (Alsintan) as well as carrying agricultural products.

But this is the dream of the residents of Nagari Tanjung Alai
This was achieved with the construction of a 1,100 meter long Farming Road (JUT) carried out by raids by TMMD Task Force personnel and the community to open road access. This method of tripping the base is enthusiastically carried out by TNI personnel and residents in order to realize the hope of enjoying easy road access.

“Initially this swamp was 50 meters thick and there were also productive rice fields for residents, we raised it to two meters through negotiations with residents and policy makers in Nagari. “And there is only a footpath to their agricultural land, so access is open,” said Commander of Kodim 0309/Solok Lt. Col. Inf Aji Satrio S.E., M.Si., as Commander of the 118th TMMD Task Force Solok Kodim in Nagari Tanjung Alai, Monday (9/ 10).

TNI personnel and the community enthusiastically built a 1,100 meter long Farming Road (JUT) in Jorong Koto Baru Nagari Tanjung Alai, Solok Regency.

The weather factor is an obstacle, but does not make them give up hope of success and their dream of having a way to make their daily activities easier. Moreover, for many years there has been no road access to the community’s agricultural land which supports the community’s economy.

In the past, road access had not been touched by development, residents had to take footpaths to their gardens and rice fields.

The implementation of TMMD will be carried out from September 20 to October 19 2023, and involves the National Police and students. Not only physical construction but also non-physical, and renovation of five units of uninhabitable houses (RTLH) as well as the construction of access to SDN 28 Nagari Tanjung Alai by CSR BRI Solok Branch. Collaboration between the TNI and the community

in physical and non-physical development in Nagari Tanjung Alai with one hope, namely success, and involving the Solok Regency Government as a working partner.

The unity of the TNI and the people must always be developed and strengthened continuously. One of the activities of military operations other than war (OMSP) is TNI service which directly touches the needs of the community, where the Solok Regency Government disbursed funds amounting to IDR 680,546 104,- for the 118th TMMD program in Nagari Tanjung Alai. This certainly accelerates development in the area with participatory development involving the community.

As many as 75 residents in the area joined together with 150 TNI personnel for the construction of farming roads (JUT) and rehabilitation of uninhabitable houses (RTLH) as well as additional construction on Thursday (19/10/23) which was 100 percent complete.

“The Task Force has worked very hard this month. But this is a form of our service to the country which is Karya Basamo Untuak Nagari, and we are working directly to resolve the residents’ difficulties,” said Dandim Lt. Col. Inf Aji Satrio. We hope that all the service of these soldiers can be maintained and enjoyed by the entire community of Nagari Tanjung Alai.

The 118th TMMD in Tanjung Alai is an implementation of communication and participatory development which is very visible, where the construction of the road to SDN 28 Jorong Koto Baru Nagari Tanjung Alai with a length of 115 meters is BRI Solok’s participation through CSR.

“As much as we can, we can help make things comfortable and provide access to the community by communicating with state-owned companies in the region, in this case BRI Solok Branch, to help through CSR funds,” said Dandim.

This was done by Dandim Lt. Col. Aji Satrio by carrying out participatory communication, where he was concerned about seeing students from SDN 28 Jorong Koto Baru Nagari Tanjung Alai crossing a muddy road when it was raining.

For this reason, communication is needed between the government and all parties, in this case the TNI as the party who wants to develop with the community as the target of the development, so that the development carried out can truly be in accordance with what is expected.

Opening of farming roads (JUT) to shorten time for community activities in order to speed up the economic wheels of residents.

The success of development cannot be separated from development communication. Communication is a very important means of maintaining interaction and relationships between society and the social environment and society and the TNI.

One of the identities of the TNI is the People’s Army. In simple terms, the meaning of the People’s Army is an army that comes from the people and fights for the people. Law no. 34/2004 concerning the TNI explains that the People’s Army is an army made up of armed people who fought against the invaders to seize and maintain independence in the 1945-1949 war with the motto “freedom or death”.

There are already guidelines for this, namely in the Eight Mandatory TNI points, the eighth point is to be an example and pioneer efforts to overcome the difficulties of the people around them.

In the end, the integration and synergy or oneness of the TNI and the people will become stronger and more resilient. The realization of this will be a key element for the success of territorial development and community empowerment in increasing regional resilience.

Economic Lighter

The opening of access to the Farming Business Road (JUT) in Nagari Tanjung Alai will make it easier for residents who want to sell their plantation products to access the center of Solok District and Regency.

In fact, this smoothes the economic path of residents and saves time. They used to walk along the path to the agricultural land. Now they can use two-wheeled or four-wheeled vehicles

“By opening this road access, residents will open up communication and insight and mutually develop one area with another and improve the economy,” said Lt. Col. Aji Satrio

In fact, it does not rule out the possibility that this area opens up the potential for the formation of a new economic center in Tanjung Alai. Residents no longer need to go far to bring plantation products to sell to the district center or Solok City.

The opening of the Farming Business Road (JUT) access has had a mutualistic impact, where around hundreds of people can use the new road, including other people who cross it.

If there is a new economic center in the area, residents’ primary needs will automatically be met. Where the land is large and road access is open, it will make implementation easier.
This received appreciation from local residents. Enthusiastic residents flocked to visit the location, to see and directly enjoy the road built by the 118th TMMD Task Force Kodim 0309/Solok.

One of them is Yanti (42), she and her children came directly to see the condition of the road to their plantation land.

“The feeling is very happy, this has long been a dream of us residents here. Thank God, with the TMMD activities, we no longer have to go through difficult roads, especially when it rains, the obstacles on the way become even more difficult. We residents here are very grateful and would like to thank the TNI, Yanti said,
Solok Regent Capt., Epiyardi Asda M.Mar., expressed his appreciation for the work of the Manunggal TNI Task Force to Build the 118th Village/Nagari (TMMD/N) Kodim 0309/Solok which has carried out physical and non-physical development.

“I am also proud to appreciate how much this task, if carried out by the contractor, would not have been completed within one month,” said Epiyardi. He revealed that thanks to the work of TNI/Polri friends in the field, the road was built. The TMMD program has greatly helped the regional government’s work in increasing the acceleration of development and helping improve community welfare.
